Register to Vote - Online Registration is Here!

Register to vote in California:

If you will be 18 years of age on election day, you may register to vote while you are still 17. To vote in California, you must meet these requirements:

  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Be a resident of California
  • Be at least 18 years of age as of the day of the next election
  • Not be in prison or on parole for the conviction of a felony, and
  • Not be deemed by an appropriate court to be mentally incompetent

You must re-register if:

  • You have moved to a new address
  • You have changed your name
  • You wish to change your political party affiliation
  • You wish to change where your ballot is being mailed
  • More information is available from the California Secretary of State.

Military and Overseas Voters
